HowDoIRankOnAI is a free tool that measures how visible your website is across the five most popular AI models: ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), Grok (xAI), and DeepSeek. In under a minute, you get a comprehensive analysis of your AI search visibility with actionable scores.

The Analysis Process

When you enter your website URL and a brief description of your business, our tool performs a multi-step analysis across all five AI models simultaneously.

Step 1: Category Query

We ask each AI model to recommend the best websites or tools in your category. For example, if you describe your business as 'online payment processing,' we ask each model something like 'What are the best online payment processing platforms?' This tests whether AI models include your brand in category-level recommendations — the most valuable type of AI visibility.

Step 2: Brand Recognition Query

We ask each AI model directly what your website does. This tests whether the model recognizes your brand and can accurately describe your business. The response reveals both whether the AI knows about you (Answer Presence) and whether it understands what you do (Interpretation Quality).

Step 3: Website Verification

We scrape your actual website content to establish ground truth about what your business does. This allows us to compare AI models' descriptions against reality and accurately score Interpretation Quality.

Step 4: Scoring

Our scoring engine analyzes the responses from all five models and calculates three scores: AI Retrieval Likelihood, AI Answer Presence, and AI Interpretation Quality. Real-Time Analysis

Every analysis is performed in real-time. We do not cache results or use pre-computed data. This means your scores reflect the current state of each AI model's knowledge about your brand. As AI models are updated and retrained, your scores may change — which is why we recommend checking regularly.

Privacy and Data

We do not store your analysis results or share your data with third parties. Each analysis is performed on-demand and the results are displayed only to you. The queries we send to AI models are standard informational queries that do not reveal any private information about your business.
